37 weeks and your tummy feels like it’s going to pop anytime now! By now, you should have prepared for your birth. If you haven’t packed yet, now’s the best time to do it.
You don’t need to bring your whole house with you! If you are anticipating a normal birth without complications, the longest you can stay is two days. If you need anything else, your partner will be able to get it for you. For now, you have to ensure that all your essentials are packed.
Documents
These include hospital pre-registration forms, copies of your birth plan, insurance
forms and identification cards.
Nursing clothes
Pack the most comfortable kind you have, such as cotton shirts or dresses for
breastfeeding, sleepwear, underwear and some towels.
Baby clothes
Remember to pack clothes that are fit for a newborn. These include a few onesies,
sleep suits, mittens, socks, a newborn hat, diapers and a receiving blanket.
Toiletries
Don’t forget your hygiene essentials such as maternity napkins, hairbrush,
toothbrush and toothpaste, soap, shampoo, unscented lotion and hand sanitizer.
Others worth packing
Pack some of your favorite high-energy snacks and your water bottle, too. Don’t
forget your mobile phone and camera which you will use to contact your family for
any emergency, and of course - for announcing the good news!
