A cesarean section may seem like a lot more compared to a vaginal birth, but it is actually not that bad. For as long as you are prepared and know what to expect, you will grace through the operation without complications.
Anesthesia
You will be given either general or spinal anesthesia, which will be administered
either through gas inhalation or through the spine, respectively.
Delivery
Once the anesthesia sets it, your obstetrician will make incisions to the skin,
muscles and uterus to suction the amniotic fluid and finally deliver your baby.
Post-op with your baby
You will be given medications for the pain. Your baby will also be roomed in as soon
as possible, so you can start nursing!
