I'm thirsty

Can’t get enough of water these days? If you’re feeling thirstier than ever, drink up! Thirst is a sign that your body needs more water. Why wouldn’t it? With a growing baby that demands more nutrients day by day coupled with excessive sweating, you need all the water to keep up.

To satisfy your thirst, it is crucial to drink at least 8-10 glasses of water per day. You can also eat more fruits with a high water content such as watermelon, pineapple and cantaloupe. You can also juice these fruits to add variety to your diet.

Not drinking enough water has its consequences. It can cause fatigue, nausea and constipation. Worse, your baby can suffer because dehydration can lead to oligohydramnios, a pregnancy complication wherein the amniotic fluid volume decreases to a critical level.
