Welcome to your pregnancy week 23! As your baby grows rapidly, you have probably gained at least 15 pounds (7 kg) by now.

By this time, your healthcare provider should be monitoring your growing uterus and your weight. You should be feeling your baby's movements at this point. If you still haven’t, talk to your care provider.

You should keep an eye on your sodium intake, which can make you swell and bloat. You may also experience back pain as the weight of your uterus presses on your back.

Paying more attention to your pregnant belly, there is something else you might notice at this week. The dark line running vertically across your abdomen is the linea nigra, which is another common occurrence in pregnancy. This usually goes away after delivery.
