Many people think that all fats are bad. That is not really true because fat gives energy to our bodies and helps to transport vitamins. Nevertheless, it is important to distinguish healthy and unhealthy fats.
Healthy fats can be found in the following products:
• Vegetable oil
• Nuts and seeds
• Avocados
Unhealthy fats can clog your arteries and damage your heart when you do not control
your intake. These are commonly found in:
• Fatty meat
• Eggs
• Butter
• Full-fat dairy products
• Cakes
• French fries
• Fried chicken
Moderation is still the key. It is best to keep unhealthy fats to a minimum especially if you are already at risk for diabetes or hypertension.
