Vitamin A is important for your baby's growth. It helps in the development of so many organs like the heart, lungs, brain, spinal cord, kidneys, bones, and eyes.
Vitamin A can be found in animal products like milk and eggs.
Plant-based sources like carrots, spinach, pumpkin, cantaloupe, and other yellow fruits contain the pigment beta-carotene, which the body utilizes to produce vitamin A.
An interesting fact is that an overdose of vitamin A can occur if you eat too much animal products, but you can’t get too much beta-carotene from plant sources. Hence, it is much preferable to get your beta-carotene from fruits and vegetables.
