If you haven’t thought about it yet, now is the best time for skin care. During pregnancy, the most dreaded problem is the appearance of stretch marks, along with dryness, pimples and rashes.

To exude the much-wanted pregnancy glow, do the following:

Apply essential oils on your abdomen, thighs, lower back, chest and arms twice a day. Sunflower, argan and avocado oils are said to be exceptional in providing extra moisture to the skin to prevent or lighten stretch marks.

Cleanse, tone and moisturize using pregnancy-safe products. Stick to all-natural products that are gentle on the skin.

Read the ingredients and product labels thoroughly. Make sure all your skin care products contain no parabens, phthalates and artificial ingredients. You should also take note that some anti-acne medications like isotretinoin or salicylic acid are not recommended for pregnant women.

Stay hydrated. Drink at least 8-10 glasses of water daily to promote skin elasticity. Dehydration will make your skin dry and saggy.
