Congratulations on reaching the 18-week mark, you are almost halfway!

Perhaps the most exciting change this week is the increase in appetite. Most women have cravings for specific tastes like sour, sweet, salty, or spicy.

Regardless of what you are craving for, the food you eat should always be rich in nutrients. Even simple herbs are very nutritious. You can plant basil, oregano and parsley and simply pick from them as you cook your meals.

Stay away from unhealthy food with empty calories like sodas and chips. To satisfy your cravings, simple make some baked vegetable chips, or juice your favorite fruits!

Even with an increased appetite, you may still feel dizzy at this week. This is because your cardiovascular system is increasing your blood volume to accommodate the demands of your growing baby.

To avoid low blood pressure, make it a point to change positions slowly and don't stand up too fast from a lying or sitting position. Get plenty of rest and keep your stress levels to a minimum, too.
