Milk intake during pregnancy
Milk intake during pregnancy

What kind of milk is best to consume? For as long as it is pasteurized, you should be safe to drink it.

Since milk is rich in calcium and other vitamins and minerals, doctors recommend that you drink at least one glass a day especially during the second and third trimesters. If you have gestational diabetes, your doctor might limit your milk intake or recommend other sources of calcium.

If you are vegan or lactose-intolerant, you will find that non-dairy alternatives like soy, almond, coconut or rice milk are just as nutritious and filling. Most of these are fortified with essential nutrients.
