
Congratulations! You're now 12 weeks pregnant and almost done with the first trimester.
Your body continues changing and now you may have increased pigmentation on your face. It is called the “mask of pregnancy” or chloasma.
On this week it is also normal to feel more tired than usual, though not as exhausting as you were on your first trimester.
On the good side, your uterus begins to pop out of your pelvis, taking pressure off your bladder which decreases your urge to urinate. You will also notice that the nausea and vomiting start to ease off and your breasts become more sensitive.
For this week, it is important to stick to a high-fiber diet, drink at least 8 glasses of water daily and engage in light exercise to prevent constipation. Walking for 15 - 60 minutes each day will be really good for your body and baby.
