Congratulations! You're now 20 weeks pregnant and have reached the halfway point of your pregnancy.
Time certainly does fly, and before you know it, you'll be holding your little one in your arms. While you're still halfway through, it's important to remember to eat a balanced diet that contains plenty of B vitamins and healthy fats to support your baby's growth and development.
Your uterus is currently preparing itself for the third trimester, and you'll likely have a prominent pregnant belly at this stage. Your doctor or midwife will measure the fundal height, which runs from your pubic bone to the top of your uterus or fundus.
The measurement in centimeters corresponds to how far along you are. For example, if your fundal height measures 20 cm (7.8 in), you should be approximately 20 weeks pregnant. An appropriate size is a positive sign that your pregnancy is progressing well.
