At week 33, your baby continues to grow in length and weight. Your tiny human now weighs close to a pineapple, though not as spiky!
Last week, your baby’s skeletal system is still quite soft. Fast forward to this week and they are actually a lot stronger! They just need a few more weeks to be fully ready for the outside world. In fact, the bones in your baby's skull are formed already, but they are not fused yet. This helps your baby glide through the birth canal during delivery.
At this week, amniotic fluid normally decreases to a certain extent. As your baby grows bigger, there will be less space to move around so expect stronger movements.
Meanwhile, as fat continues to deposit under the skin, your baby will now look less wrinkled and transparent. Your baby's real skin color will actually develop during the first six months after birth.
