At week 31, your baby’s body is developing at full speed ahead in preparation for delivery, which will happen not too long from now!
A body organ you may want to focus on this week is your baby’s bladder. This can be seen on an ultrasound since the first trimester, so it is even clearer if you get another scan this week.
A fully functioning bladder is important, as this holds urine before it is passed out through the urethra. Your baby has indeed done a good job of developing a healthy bladder at week 31.
Even more noteworthy is the fact that your baby’s bladder may now be passing some fluid in it! This is good practice for the bladder, and even until childhood when your baby learns to potty-train in the future.
