Out of all the senses, the sense of hearing is probably the most discussed in the growth and development of a baby. After all, it is the first sense to develop in the womb.
At week 22, you may want to learn more about another sense - the sense of touch. At this time, this sense becomes very developed. Your baby’s grip becomes stronger, even holding on to that long umbilical cord!
Don’t fret, though - the cord is actually a lot tougher than you think it is. Apart from holding it, your baby might be busy fidgeting the fingers and toes. It’s amazing how “curious” your baby becomes even at this very early stage.
After the birth of your baby in a few months’ time, the sense of touch will become even more developed and specialized. This will help in facilitating your child’s natural curiosity.
