Since the brain now regulates your baby’s heart rate, expect your baby to make more muscle movements starting this week. Your baby can now flex and extend the limbs, play with the hands and form a fist.
The facial muscles are now moving, too, so your baby is now wearing all sorts of facial expressions. However, your baby still has no control over these expressions yet.
Babies, at this point, are still training themselves to make facial expressions before they are born, just like when practicing breathing movements before they can actually breathe.
