Bone development

How do you think are your baby’s bones developing at week 15? They are in a furious growth spurt - remember that an adult has 206 bones, so your baby has a lot of catching up to do!

By this week, the head of your baby has now reached half the total length of the body. There is also a noticeable bulge in your baby’s forehead, which allows space for proper brain development.

Your baby is also busy flexing and extending the knees and elbows, along with thumb-sucking and head-turning. There is plenty of room inside your womb, so your baby is enjoying all the space for frequent movement.

More importantly, your baby needs calcium for the proper growth and development of the bones. These grow at an amazing pace, and you will soon appreciate the rate at which they grow once you start feeling your baby’s kicks!
