At this week, your baby is about the size of a lime. It’s amazing how your baby has doubled in size again. You may not be showing yet, but your baby sure has grown incredibly!

Your baby now has a more recognizable human-like appearance. The eyes have moved closer together. The ears have shifted closer to their final position. The fingers, toes and eye muscles have also started to move spontaneously.

From this week onward, the intestines will grow quite fast. As of the moment, it is just an extension of the umbilical cord, but it will begin to move back into the abdomen in the near future. The kidneys can now secrete urine, and the nervous system is continuing to mature.

The great milestone at this week is that your baby will start developing complex reflexes such as sucking.
