Just when you thought that babies develop their first set of teeth at six months of age, they are actually buried way beneath the gums even before they were born! Yes, the first teeth are actually formed already, but they don’t make their appearance just yet.
You may be surprised to find out that as early as week 10 of pregnancy, your tiny fetus is now growing the first set of teeth, just under the gums. These are, of course, very small, but definitely a significant development.
It makes perfect sense that your baby’s first set of teeth is beginning their development at week 10, as the bones are rapidly growing at this period, too. You may want to see those pearly whites soon, but you will have to wait until their time is ready to show off!
